A pair of moriage enamel Imperial Presentation vases, each with a shouldered body decorated with a warbler perched in a spray of fruiting plum on a grey ground. Some of the stems and leaves in yusen. The rims, shoulders, and feet with scrolling flower borders, the chamfered shoulder with a formal pattern. The necks with a single white kikumon in gold wire. Applied with silver rims and feeet.

The chamfered shoulder pattern is a variation of a favourite shape for Imperial Presentation. With original presentation box bearing an inscription dated October 1929 referring to a visit to the recipient on the occasion of the completion of the rebuilding of the Jingusengyo (probably referring to the Ise Shrine, rebuilt every twenty years).
