The globe bears the classic Ptolemaic constellations in their standard pictorial forms together with their designations in Arabic, and approximately 1018 stars are indicated by silver points, though none of these bear labels. The rings are all precisely graduated, with both the conventional Arabic numbers and their abjadi forms. It is attributable to the workshop of the Lahuri instrument-maker, Lalah Balhumal.
