Other Notes: The work was prepared by the Survey of Egypt for ‘His Highness Husein, Emir and Sherif of Mecca & King of the Hejaz.’ This copy, which is no.48 of a special edition of 200, was presented to Colonel C. Wilson on 15 March 1919. T.E. Lawrence (known as ‘Lawrence of Arabia’) is credited with the design of a number of the stamps illustrated.
