Other Notes:

It has been suggested that the coin was minted by al-Mansur ‘Umar ibn ‘Ali – the newly independent Rasulid ruler of the Yemen – in Mina to be given to pilgrims in 636 AH when he very likely performed his hajj. Extremely rare.
