Other Notes: The manuscript has one single and two double pages of illustrations. In addition to the depiction of the Prophet’s tomb (folio 15a) which the text describes, there are views of the Prophet’s mosque at Medina and the al-Baqi‘ cemetery (folios 13b–14a) as well as the Masjid al-Haram at Mecca, Mount ‘Arafat and Jerusalem (folios 82b–83a). The diagrammatic style of the depictions relates them to contemporary pilgrimage scrolls, especially those painted by Indian artists resident in Mecca. (See MSS 745.1–3)
