Materials: black silk lampas, relief-embroidered in silver and silver-gilt wire over cotton thread padding

Script:

The curtain is embroidered on black kiswah fabric. The calligraphy of the main panel at the top of the curtain is signed by ‘Abd al-Rahim Amin, who designed the inscriptions on the modern Saudi Ka‘bah curtains. The date, 1427, is embroidered at the bottom right of the panel.
